The Gopher Buddies meet in a large upstairs classroom on Sundays from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Our focus is to teach the children the importance of having a daily quiet time in God's Word and prayer. Their quiet time diaries are checked weekly. They are also encouraged to memorize a scripture verse and are rewarded for doing so.
The Bible lesson is often taught by a puppet, at which the children enjoy very much. During song time we use shakers to add to the fun of singing. Each week we have a craft which reinforces the Bible lesson.
The teachers strive to present the gospel in terms preschoolers understand. Our desire is: to instill an attitude of love and respect for God, His place of worship, and the leaders of our assembly.
